Artificial intelligence and commercial space continue to attract significant institutional capital, with SambaNova completing a major funding round while Blue Origin reportedly prepares to open its shareholder base for the first time.

Artificial intelligence infrastructure continues to attract major investment, with SambaNova Systems completing a €850 million ($1 billion) funding round as Blue Origin reportedly prepares to raise external capital for the first time in its history.
SambaNova announced the first close of its Series F financing on Wednesday, valuing the California-based AI company at €9.4 billion ($11 billion). On the same day, Bloomberg, CNBC and The New York Times reported that Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin is seeking approximately €8.5 billion ($10 billion) in new funding at a €111 billion ($130 billion) pre-money valuation.
SambaNova Expands Following Enterprise Demand
General Atlantic led the financing, joined by Seligman Ventures, T. Rowe Price, Capital Group, BlackRock, Intel Capital and the Qatar Investment Authority. The company said additional investors are expected to participate before the second close.
Founded in 2017, SambaNova develops AI chips, integrated hardware systems and cloud infrastructure designed for AI inference, allowing businesses to run large language models and other AI workloads.
The funding follows the company's Series E round of more than €300 million ($350 million) completed in February, when it also introduced its SN50 processor.
Alongside the financing, SambaNova announced that JPMorgan Chase has selected the company as an AI inference infrastructure partner. The bank will deploy SambaNova's SN40 and SN50 systems within its own data centres.
Chief Executive Officer Rodrigo Liang said the new capital will support additional manufacturing capacity, international expansion, and continued investment across the company's chips, systems and software platform.
The latest valuation also marks a significant increase from late 2025, when Bloomberg reported Intel had explored acquiring the company at a valuation of approximately €1.4 billion ($1.6 billion) before those discussions ended.
Blue Origin Targets First Outside Investors
Blue Origin's fundraising has not been officially confirmed by the company, but multiple outlets reported that Coatue Management is expected to lead the transaction with a commitment of around €3.4 billion ($4 billion).
Jeff Bezos is reportedly expected to invest an additional €1.7 billion ($2 billion), with the remaining capital coming from institutional investors.
If completed, the transaction would be the first time Blue Origin has raised money from outside investors since Bezos founded the company in 2000. Until now, the business has largely been financed through proceeds from the Amazon founder's share sales.
The reported fundraising comes weeks after Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket was destroyed during a static hot-fire test ahead of its fourth planned launch. The company continues investigating the incident while rebuilding infrastructure at Cape Canaveral and targeting a return to flight before the end of 2026.
New Glenn remains central to future missions for NASA and commercial customers, while investors are also expected to consider projects including Blue Origin's TeraWave satellite communications network.
The two transactions rank among the largest technology funding developments announced this week, reflecting continued investor interest in companies building AI infrastructure and next-generation space capabilities.
