Founded in 1969 by Konrad Šmigoc, the company began as a small tailoring trade at a time when quality materials and modern machinery were hard to come by — yet the craftsmanship was exceptional from the very start. Over the decades, the workshop grew, embracing new technology while never compromising on the personal, made-to-measure approach that defined it from day one.

Today, led by Andrej Šmigoc, the second generation of the family, Šmigoc Elegance continues to craft suits, formal wear, wedding attire and uniforms for clients near and far. They also specialise in traditional Slovenian national costumes and outfits for folklore groups, handcrafting each piece to the client's wishes from a wide selection of authentic materials.
